The l . a . Rams seek out revenge whenever wrestling because of the San Francisco 49ers in a NFC western showdown on Sunday.

Darius Williams, the Rams’ other cornerback, seeks to carry on their stellar play that has him poised for the payday that is hefty.

Teammate Jalen Ramsey, the NFL’s cornerback that is highest-paid a $105 million deal, begins opposite of Williams. But Williams is making his team-friendly settlement of $750,000 by being a lot more than a complementary piece to Ramsey.

“He’s got most of the abilities and traits you’re interested in,’’ L.A. mentor Sean McVay said about Williams, mimicking observations usually made about Ramsey. “I like their psychological makeup products and you also just start to see the athleticism.’’

Williams’ rise wasn’t a success that is overnight. He caught advisor McVay’s attention in 2018 when disrupting the Rams that is high-powered attack a back-up while duplicating opponent’s protective schemes.

“He had been securing our dudes down as he had been regarding the scout group,’’ McVay said. “You’d almost need certainly to simply tell him, ‘Hey, go on it easy, guy. You’re planning to shake our self- self- confidence entering this video game.’’’

Scout’s honor, Williams has brought a step that is significant their unlikely job while back peddling in coverages. He prepares to slow straight down the 49ers after clipping the Seahawks’ wings in a current 23-16 winnings.
